2 Poems for Poets United Prompt
Blue I
I dived into dark water
Swam down as far as I could go
Touched the muddy sea ground
Then rose
My airless lungs, my feet beating furious
I made it to the surface, my breath fulfilled
The sun was warm
It was good to see the sky deep and blue
Blue II
I lay in waiting
Cold Comfort eases no pain
I sleep sometimes in an old Square Corner
My stomach any empty growl
Starve me
Take all that is mine
This life sustained
An imagination as All
Like a rising heaven,
clouds turn from a Blue poet's sky
SC: These are a couple of Blue poems from the Square Corner archive. I'd forgotten I wrote them, so it was if I was reading them for the first time. A couple of minor edits, and they are new again

"Like a rising heaven, Clouds turn from a Blue poet's sky." How beautiful. I love these - great Blue poems!
Cool - these flow S.Q.
Lovely Blue poems - the first one especially pulled me into the dive... and out again
Love the color blue...like what you did with these two poems. (^_^)
Really enjoyed these, the first one especially caught me with its imagery and I dived too. :-)
I like the switch from the visual blue to the melancholy blue. Both are beautiful poems.

Blue me away!
Love the flow of your words.. both very inspirational.. :D
You cannot go wrong with the color blue....it represents so many things wonderful and sad....lovely poems for the prompt! :-)
Blue, the most beautiful colour, is also the most expressive.
I loved both poems with reference to the colour blue.
Excellent words...and images
Best wishes, Eileen
I so LOVE these two, even more the second time around - especially the last lines: "Like a rising heaven, clouds turn from a Blue poet's sky." Absolutely beautiful. I also love "any empty growl" a LOT.........great writing!
